    2. Nancy Cole
    3. Hi Folks, A while back we were talking about non-profit incorporation of our project. Bridgett, Fred Smoot and I have looked at the pros and cons of incorporating as a non-profit and it appears that from our viewpoints that it would be a good thing for the project. A couple of points: *If you decide to pursue the incorporation, there will be no cost to you for the filing fees. *This question is simply in regard to improving the project internally and would not affect our relationship with USGenWeb. Before we go further we need the opinion of all of you, the County Coordinators, who are the backbone of the project. So I am asking for a straw poll. We are not asking about preferences for a name or any other details at this time. It would be inappropriate to address those issues without knowing the opinions of y'all. The decision will be made by simple majority "of those responding," so please let us hear your voice. Reply - All to this list simply with yes or no if you would like to pursue non-profit incorporation. The voting period will be one week only. Discussions of the pros and cons of the issue should be taken to the TN-Chat list. Bridgett will subscribe you if you drop her a line. Nancy ncole@coffey.com Assistant TNGenweb Coordinator

    1. [TNGEN-L] 2 Counties adopted !!
    2. Bridgett Smith
    3. I'd like to welcome 2 new county coordinators to our group. Their pages are not on line yet and we are looking forward to seeing great things from these folks. Shane Rhyne, has adopted Knox County, which went up for adoption just a couple of days ago. Shane is with ETHS, and you may have seen some posts from him on this list already. ETHS is NOT adopting Knox, Shane is doing this on his own personal time. Su Wilson, who is the County Coordinator, Chester County SC USGenWeb Project, is adopting poor Marshall County, who has never had a host since the project started. Let's welcome those folks to our team ! Bridgett ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Bridgett Smith TNGenWeb State Coordinator http://www.tngenweb.org/

    3. Yo, We have animated map links on our maps links page under "Online Modern Maps" http://www.tngenweb.org/maps/maplinks.htm First is the one just sent, "Boundaries of the United States and the Several States. The second is "Evolution of United States County Boundaries" This really fun to watch. The county lines really jump around here. These two maps are based on the cd/rom AniMap which can be purchased from Goldbug. http://www.goldbug.com/GoldBug.html Fred >>> RTR (by way of Jane Norton Powell ) wrote: > > --=====================_900485319==_ > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" > > Jane: This is real neat!
