    1. [TNGEN-L] Another HORROR Story
    2. Let me tell you another. Say you are unincorporated. You don't have an affiliation with anyone. IE Little town furniture factory ENGLAND CORSAIR - managed to make the employee payroll etc. but if you incorporated you were guarenteed the prologation (nursing home term) of your project. So you agreed!!! Five, ten years from know who cares, what you were working on then is gauarenteed to be online because you INCORPORATED. Excuse me bulls____. Someone somewhere saw that this project along with the old towns etc. would really be a profitt. Maybe not Bridgett, pray thee not, or anyone with the TNGENWEB, but somewhere in the bing USGENWEB scheme of things. They decided that what they need was to become Incorporated to survieve, after all the geocities, mindsprings, and free bullsh-- that we have indured. So we incorporate. Soon you will see VISA MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS signs up on USGENWEB and the states down. What??? Well, you have your files protected. Sorry, as everyone knows files you upload to the interenet are "Public Domain", copywright or not. You've been screwed!!!! So what new!!! VOTE NO TO INCORPRATION Joe Payne Claiborne TNGENWEB Coordinator Inspiration "GOOD WILL HUNTING" Saw it last night

In the works ... 1840 Obion Census, in orginal document order which divides the county in two parts, east and west acc. to districts. This is slow going ... re-reading the microfilm, but it is worth.

    2. Well I remember when Tazewell and New Tazewell were incorporated and finally New Tazewell decided to corporate because of industry and taxes and etc. Well Tazewell being the old stauch incorporate as it was with all the old houses history etc. and not wanting the INDUSTRY PROGRESS etc. held out for years but finally becuse it was going broke INCORPORATED under pressure and lo and behold what happened. INDUSTRY PROGRESS and etc. cam to OLD TAZEWELL and all the old HOUSES were destroyed. So with this as my reason NO Joe Payne Claiborne Co. TNGENWEB

So, with respect for both sides of this issue, I'll just bow out of this vote and let the majority voice their opinions. Take care everyone, -- Eddy G. 2. Javan Michael DeLoach
    3. Hi Everyone, We had our first file placed in the Crockett County USGenWeb Archives today, making one less Tennessee county without an Archive entry. For a look at which counties have Archive files, go to: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tn/tnfiles.htm It is a good idea to cross-post genealogical documents from your county pages to the Archives. In addition to placing them in a permanent location (relatively permanent?), the files are entered into the USGenWeb Digital Library, where they may be located world-wide via the USGenWeb Search Engine. This is an excellent way to make information concerning your county available to a much wider audience. For information concerning placing documents in the USGenWeb Archives, see: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/timetodo.htm Please let me know if you have any questions.
