    3. ------- Forwarded Message Follows ------- From: "Kay Mason" <kmfkm@ptw.com> Date: Sun, 5 Jul 1998 13:24:55 -0700 Priority: normal Subject: [STATE-COORD-L] problem ballots To: STATE-COORD-L@rootsweb.com Reply-to: STATE-COORD-L@rootsweb.com Please share this with your County Coordinators. Thank you. There is a problem with some of the ballots sent out for the County Coordinator Representative and State Coordinator Representative elections..they do not have the "Vote Marker" on them. When the ballot is returned, the voting software will send the voter an error message. The new Corrected Ballot is contained in the error message. The voter should then vote again, using the Corrected Ballot. If there is not a corrected ballot in the error message, then they voter should contact: <vote-owner@usgenweb.org> and a new ballot will be sent to the person. Also, the voters in the County Coordinator Representative Election should vote for two (2) candidates. If a voter changes his mind, it is possible to vote again. The software will invalidate the first (or previous) vote, and the new vote will be counted. 3. Those of us who sit in the AC.. and do a few hours of PC work, are in the limelight much to often in this national and global project of getting genealogy data to the masses. The folks who should more often be given a hug of thanks, or a pat on the back are the "grunts"... foot soldiers.... the folks who walk from library to courthouse, and from cemetery to cemetery.... We have a couple of those folks in McMinn Co. that I'm REALLY proud of and you all can visit their one-hundred-and-two (102) cemetery files which they have helped accumulate for researchers around the world. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/tn/mcminn.htm Thank you very much Marvin and Samme Templin from all of us. -- Sam Sneed 'n' Tennessee -- Visit OUR sites if we can be of help: http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnmcminn/ McMinn County TnGenWeb Project http://www.rootsweb.com/~lineage/ USGenWeb Special Lineage Project http://www.tngenweb.org/events.htm TNGenWeb's Calendar of Events for TN http://www.keepsake-photos.com/ Family Photo Restoration Business http://www.keepsake-photos.com/Sam_Sneed_Family_Genealogy.htm Family Kin Folks--far & near

It can be found at www.rootsweb.com/~tnstewar/collins.htm. Thanks, ladies in Sumner!!!! You all are a model for us all to strive to be more like!!!! You are my role models!!!! Jane Jane, My mother's name was Jane so I always am happy to see your posts :-) I agree it is annoying to have politics enter our "peaceful pasture." Perhaps Bridgett could request a new list be created just for political discussions. My sense is that there will be more in the future... especially if we decide to incorporate. So, Bridgett if you agree, could you ask Tim Pierce twp@rootsweb.com to set up such a list. I'd suggest TNGENPOL-L or TNGENORG-L. George of Lincoln p.s. Meanwhile, I will take this opportunity to ask Bridgett to vote for SC rep. My vote is for the SC of TN :-)
