WHO was the father, who evidently died? prior to c1834/1840? when Marilda P. Farmer remarried to John DEEN. John DEEN [stepfather to my great-grandfather, Burdine FARMER] was born c1768, VA; died 17 Oct 1857, Smith Co. Tx. His parents were Joshua Deen born 1744/5 Halifax Co Va and Susanna Loveall. Siblings of John Deen were Jacob, Molly and Temperance. John Deen married 1. Ruth Nash/Mash? and they were the parents of "Jack"; William Rockhold b 1801; James L. b 1803; Alfred b 1808; Calloway b 1811; Mary "Polly" b. 1813; Nancy b 1816; Oliver Hazard Perry b 1821; Asberry McKindry b. 1823; Wiley b 1825; Isham Russell born 1829. All children born Franklin Co. Tn. John DEEN married #2: Marilda P. FARMER, widow? of UNKNOWN FARMER and mother of three FARMER sons: Burdine Farmer, born 1821 in that part of Franklin which became Coffee Co., died Texas 1911; Isaac born 1824 Franklin Co., died Tx; and Alexander Patton Farmer b. 1829, Franklin Co., d. Tx. Marilda P. Farmer [b. 1806] was much younger than her 2nd husband, John Deen, who became the stepfather to her three FARMER sons. ISSUE; A. R. Franklin "Frank" Deen. Who was Marilda's first husband [surname FARMER] and the father of her three FARMER sons? What was Marilda's maiden surname? She was always known as Marilda P.
