Cook enters fifty acres of land in Franklin county lying on the dividing ridge between lost creek and Hurricane creek a north branch of Elk river being the premises formerly owned by Miles Rogue/Hogue(?) and for the last four or five years cultivated by sd. Cook there being about twelve acres under fence; Beginning on a dogwood about 25 poles east of the northeast corner of a 15 acre entry entered in the name of and granted to __ George Archer and now belonging to said Cook, thence running north 63-1/2 poles, thence west and south for complement, oblong- said entry lies about a half a mile from the 50 acre occupant claim entered by said Cook in sd. county on the 3rd July 1824 and on which he now lives. Fosters enters six & a half acres of land in Franklin county in consideration of paying 81-1/2 cents into the entry takes office of said county adjoining said Fosters 155 acres it lies on the east- Beginning at an ash a corner to sd. 155 acres on the base of the mountain runs north 70 deg. east with the mountain to the head of a hollow thence north with the base of the other spur north 74 deg west 70 poles to the east boundary of the before mentioned 155 acres with the same south wardly to the beginning including a sink hole spring in the mouth of the hollow July the 5th 1824. Cty. situated on a spur of the cumberland mountain east of Archibald Hatchets ninety acres- Beginning at a cherry tree & poplar, standing south east of a spring on the mountain south of Estills fork of Paint rock and north of the wolf pen hollow thence west one hundred poles to a sasafras black locust on an ___ trace on the top of the mountain at the head of a hollow of the buncans/duncans(?) fork of Beans creek thence north 70 poles & south for complement 5th July 1824.
