McDuff enters his preference of forty acres adjoining his 120 acres making the whold one hundred & sixty acres in Franklin County on the waters of Elk river-Beginning at a stake the southwest corner of Danl. McDuffs 150/180(?) acres in the east boundary line of Jesse Bears/Beans 24 acres then with Bears/Beans line south thirty two poles to a large post oak in the north boundary line of Henry Montfords 400 acres thence with his line east fifty eight poles to his corner then with his other line south thirty four poles to a spanish oak, then east sixty eight poles then north to the south boundary line of sd. McDuffs 160 acres, then west to the beginning. Apl. 1824. Richd. R. McDuff No 42 $6.25 50 acres June 8th, 1824 William Ashberry enters fifty acres of land in Franklin County in consideration of paying five dollars & twenty five cents into the entry takers office of sd. city, adjoining sd. Ashberrys 85 acres on Et. beginning at a black oak standing on the west side of a large pond of water it being a corner to Geo. Grays land and runs Wt. with said Grays line 31 poles to sd. Ashberrys 85 acres and with the same north 145 poles to a hickory north east corner to the south thence Et. 83 1/3 poles to a post oak and black jack thence south to Grays aforesaid land & with the same west & south to the beginning. McClures east boundary line of the tract he now lives on and runs south to the north boundary line of Jesse Johnsons 90 acres south the same east & south to Munfors line and with the same east to Geo. Gray, Locator No 44 $7.50 60 acres William Robertson enters sixty acres of land in Franklin County State of Tennessee lying on Bradleys Creek waters of Elk river beginning on a post oak corner on the east boundary line of a thirty acre tract of land granted to John Lindley now belonging to said Robertson, it being the northeast corner of a twenty acre tract of land belonging to said Robertson running east eighty poles thence south for complement.
