    3. Greetings everyone: As a fellow Franklin County Historical Society member who is geographically seperated big-time from home-sweet-home Franklin County, I humbly seek some help from a kind soul back in the area. I want to verify some genealogical data to enter my mom in the UDC. Her great grandfather, John Henry Ivey (1829-1908) served in the Ridgeville Guards Co. F, 4th Confederate Tennessee (also known as Co. C, 34th Tenn Inf, CSA). (1) Can someone help me find his death certificate -- Mar 16, 1908. (2) His son, Thomas M. Ivey, died (according to tradition) on May 1, 1941. He has no death certificate, I've searched. Does an obituary exist that long ago? 1941? Is there a Franklin County paper on microfilm dated back to 1941? (3) Did a UCV camp exist in Franklin County which listed John Henry Ivey? I'd like to hear from decendants of Henry Ivey. I understand Mr. Pete Holmes, Principal of South Jr. High School is also a descendant, does anyone know if he is on e-mail? Again, UDC won't accept word-of-mouth tradition, they need hard evidence, so any you can offer will be appreciated!!! Your friend, Keith Fletcher
