McElroy No 231 $6.25 50 acres David Montgomery enters fifty acres of land in Franklin County on the drafts of the dry fork of Rock creek Beginning on a black oak near a large spanish oak & two post oaks all marked thus D.M. with an ax about one hundred and thirty poles east from where the road leading from the head of Mulberry creek to the pond spring crosses the dry fork of Rock creek in the head of Flat Hollow, on the north side of said road running one hundred poles east, thence north so to include Thomas Montgomerys improvements on both side of the above mentioned road. July 5th 1824 No 233 $12.50 100 acres Epraim Cates enters one hundred acres of land lying in the county of Franklin State of Tennessee, on the head waters of Bradleys creek Beginning on a post oak the southwest corner of a fifty acres entry in the name of Michale Boling, running north with said Bolings line thence west, thence south, thence east so as to include the quantity in an oblong survey July 5th 1824 No 234 $7.50 60 acres copied Thomas Wilson enters sixty acres of land lying in Franklin County on the top of Cumberland mountain and waters of Paint Rock the consideration money being paid to the Entry taker- beginning on a white & black oak on the State line and west side of the Trace and in the Bluff of the mountain, running northwardly meandering said bluff sd far as we run northwardly thence east and thence south till striking the top of the bluff of said Cumberland mountain, thence with the top of said bluff meandering said bluff the State line, thence west to the beginning, including Edward Hirris'(?) improvements and running on both sides of the Sandy Trace.
