George Foster enters eighty acres of land in Franklin county in consideration of paying ten dollars into the entry takes office of said county on the top of a spur of Cumberland Mountain east of where said Foster living Beginning at a buckeye hickory & black gum eight poles south of Jackson spring near a bluff of rocks and runs west twenty poles to a chesnut oak, dogwood and hickory thence north 100 poles to sugar tree thence east twenty four poles to a chestnut on a bluff of rocks and runs with said bluff and bounding thereon so as to include said spring and the quantity called for. Beginning at a black oak southwest corner to a fifty five acre survey in the name of Isaac Estill, and runs west 160 poles then south 270 poles thence Et. so far that a line running north will strike the south Wt. corner of a tract of land granted to Geo. Gray and with his line north and round with his line to the west boundary of James Woods 640 acres and with the same north to a 25 acre in the name of Isaac Estill and with the same Et. & north to the aforesaid and with the same west to the beginning July 5th, 1824.
