Trying to find any trace of William P Hampton and his family in Tennessee. William was born Aug 8 1789 in North Carolina. William married Malinda (maiden name unknown) born about 1792 in Virginia. William and Malinda had about seven children, but I only have information on two of them. John H Hampton was born 1818 in Tennessee and James P Hampton was born 1827 in Tennessee. William and his family moved to what is now Dade County Missouri in 1833. They were some of the first settlers in the area. I have information on William's decendents, but nothing on his parents or siblings. I would like to find out where in Tennessee William lived and where in Tennessee his sons were born. I would like to talk to anyone researching the Hampton family and will share all information that I have. Thanks in advance for your help and for your time Jaime JLee196@aol.com
