Does anyone know where the Harrison Family Cemetery is located? This is what I know: It was most likely on the Harrison farm which was in Overton County, Tennessee, on the border with Clinton County, Kentucky, on the Wolf River. That part of Overton County became Pickett County. The cemetery has been described as actually being in Clinton County, near the state border. Is it under water? Is it on private property? One source says, "Turney Groce lives on the old home place," but I have no date for that source. I understand that the land belonged to Benjamin Harrison, who is buried there. His father, James Mason Harrison, is also buried there, as well as his brother, my GGG grandfather, William Henry Harrison, whose daughter, Susan Frances Harrison Bledsoe, raised my grandmother in Cleburne, Texas. I have looked at a variety of maps that show cemeteries, but none seem to show that one. There is a Find A Grave site for this cemetery; it was created by my cousin to show the burial places of the Harrison family and does not have a location. I will be making a trip to the area at the end of this month (April) and would like to visit the cemetery - if I can find out where it is!
