Myers, Florida died Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Lynchburg, VA. Jewell was born in Jamestown, Tennessee and attended school in Farmland, Indiana. She resided most of her adult life in Muncie, Indiana prior to retiring in Ft. Myers, Florida. Jewell was a vibrant, loving woman with a zest for life. She loved to travel, enjoyed nature, and gardening, writing, and spending time with family, friends, and her beloved feline pets. It was Jewell's wishes to be cremated. Survivors include her son, Stephen W. Day of Lynchburg, Virginia; a brother, Robert Stephens; sister, Jeannie Stephens, and Midge Stephens all of Muncie and many dear friends. Jewell was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Glenn Mason; her parents, Major David and Delphia (Delk) Stephens.
