MUNCIE - Treva M. Lawson, 81, of Muncie, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 21, 2011 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born October 29, 1929 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Arthur and Myrtle (Wright) Garrett. Treva was a homemaker and she attended True Light Baptist Church. She was a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club. Treva is survived by a son, Donald Lawson (wife, Star), Brownsburg; two sisters, Odean Anderson of Muncie and Catherine Pollard (husband, Gene), Richmond; goddaughter, Amy Murray, Muncie; two grandsons, Donald S. Lawson and David R. Lawson; two great-granddaughters, Sara Wellbaum, Indianapolis, Braelinn Lawson, Fairfield, Ohio; three god grandchildren, Tessa Murray, Erica Monroe, Jessica Monroe, Muncie, and several nieces and nephews. Treva was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Mack Lawson; two brothers, Boyd Garrett, Doyle Garrett; four sisters, Janice Stover, Rassie Hatfield, Onie Rum, Minnie Crisp. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the mortuary and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
