    1. [TNFENTRE] Decoration Day
    2. Gerri I haven't heard those words in a long time..I remember Decoration Day from a kid at my Aunt Effie Delk Leffew's. My Granny Delk., Aunt Effie and Aunt Lexie Pile Delk Aunt Fae Delk York would make flowers for Decoration Day. Even us youngins would try to make them. They made the flowers out of crepe paper and then dip them in paraffin. They worked on them for weeks. When it came Decoration Day we would get all dressed up and the Aunts took food. I can't remember whose flat bed truck came to pick us up. We rode on the truck with nothing to hold us in except gravity. I think we even picked up the Hughes which were related through Granny Delk. Her sister was Nan Patton Hughes and her husband was Tyree Hughes....Now we just go to the store and buy the plants. It was much more fun back in the 40's and 50's...Thanks for jogging my memory..anyone else want to add to it.. Milly WARD Piros My Mind is like Lightning.....One Brilliant flash and pooooooooofffffffff It's gone
