    3. DUNKIRK - Eva Pearl Adams, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in her home with her loving family by her side. Eva Pearl Adams, 83 DUNKIRK - Eva Pearl Adams, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in her home with her loving family by her side. Eva was born on July 12, 1927 in Fentress County, TN to the late Omar and Lucy Alma (Crabtree) Neal. Eva graduated from York Institute in Jamestown, TN. And on March 11, 1948 she married her love Vernon Lee Adams in Muncie. Eva was employed with Ball Brothers for seventeen years as a packer and sorter. She enjoyed quilting and vegetable gardening. Eva was a longtime member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Dunkirk. She was also a Sunday school teacher. Eva is survived by her loving husband, Vernon of sixty-three years; four brothers and sister, Ike Neal (wife, Sue) of Cross Plains, TX, Anna Mae Dollar of Eaton, IN, Ray Neal (wife, Patty) of Muncie and Dennis Neal (wife, Judy) of Muncie; three grandchildren, Jeff Williams (wife, Jessica) of Chicago, IL, Jon Williams (wife, Melissa) of Washington, IN and Alexis Scott (husband, Kyle) of San Antonio, TX; seven great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces; and caregiver and friend Heather Binegar. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; son, Roger Adams and three brothers, Kelly, Eugene, and Elwood Neal. Visitation will be on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Reverend Marion Donathon officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Little Red Door of ECI; Jay County Cancer Society; State of the Heart Hospice; and/or First Free Will Baptist Church of Dunkirk. Jimmy Leroy Hill, 78 MUNCIE - Jimmy Leroy Hill, 78, joined his wife in heaven on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. Jimmy was born on December 3, 1932 in Sparta, TN to the late Fred Clay and Hattie Mae (Stewart) Hill. From 1952-1955, Jimmy served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was stationed in Austria. After moving to Muncie, Jimmy and Donna (Hyder) married on January 3, 1953. Jimmy was an inspector for Warner Gear for forty-three years. While also working at Warner Gear he was employed as a route deliverer for The Star Press for thirty years. Jimmy enjoyed boating, water skiing, and golfing. He was also a member of the UAW #287 and Borg Warner Sympathy Club. Jimmy also needs to be acknowledged for his dedication in the Ball Memorial Cardiac Rehabilitation program. Jimmy is survived by his three loving daughters, Kathy S. Hill, Linda L. Martin and Karen Y. Beaty (husband, Steve), all of Muncie; four grandchildren: Philip D. Martin, Jr. (wife, Lindsey) of Indianapolis, Alex J. Martin; Melissa H. Beaty and Kyle S. Beaty, all of Muncie; two great-grandchildren, Kalen A. Martin of Muncie and Madelyn E. Martin of Indianapolis; three brothers, Billy J. Hill (wife, Joyce) of MI; Donald C. Hill of TN; and David O. Hill (wife, Dorrie) of MI; and several nephews and nieces. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; wife Donna of thirty-five years; five brothers, Fred L., J. Doug, Roby C., John C. and Tony E. Hill; and sister, Zula M. Hill. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military rites honored by the Veteran's of Delaware County Honor Guard. Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy sh** - what a ride!"
