My mother's name was also Avo which I always thought was an unusual name. Mom did not know origin of name. I noticed that there were several girls/women in Fentress Co named Avo. Checking further I found a well-love teacher born in 1888 (Fentress) that never married or had children. Could this who so many were named after? Anyone know more about name?
