Thanks for the lookup Bill. Although he sometimes called himself David his granddaughter says it was never his real name. His name was William Bates Butram/Bertram or Bates William Butram. His mother was Mary Ann (Beaty) and his father was Dr. William Stinson Butram/Bertram. We're still looking for the picture of Dr. William S. Bertram on horseback, holding his medical bag.
