Hi Bruce In Gary Norris's book: It happened here abouts Wilder Shooting Leaves One Dead Fentress County Gazette September 6 1906 There was a difficulty last week between W F Baldwin and Francis Brown near Wilder. Brown shot and fatally wounded Baldwin. Baldwin lived but a short time. Brown made his escape, but was later caught at Burnside Kentucky. Sheriff Smith left Wednesday to bring him back to Jamestown for trial.
