Linda. Pall Mall is in the same area as Wolf River so both entries may be for the same man. I found a memorial page for Maj. John Calvin Wright, Sr. (1832 - 1904) on Find-A-Grave. He is buried in the John C. Wright Cemetery in Fentress Co., Tennessee. I have that John C Wright was the son of John Wright born in Frederick Co, MD in 1787 and died in Moodysville in 1864. John Wright married Elizabeth Lindley in 1814 in Bristol, TN. John C Wright was born about 1819 and married several times. He was called "Devil" John and was a sheriff or bounty hunter at some point. There is a Maj John C. Wright mentioned in a newspaper in 9-9-1897 whose wife is reported as dangerously ill. I have John C Wright's children as William J, Jesse L, Arissa J, Noah, and Martha A. I am part of the Wright family but not this direct line and I spent a number of years working on trying to sort all of them out, but I haven't done anything recently. This may be in error because there are lots of overlapping names in the Wright family (not to mention the marriage of cousins). Please correct my information if you have more accurate research.
