On my Dad's side in 1960 I wrote to his father Henry Ward in Anderson Co TN what my great grandparents names were. I was 19 years old. My Grandpa answered my letter and I still have it. It had his father Freland Hison Ward and mother Fair Sealy Byrge names on it but no other information. Later in Fentress Co I asked Granny Delk, my mother's mother about her parents and got that info, Jesse Young Patton and Melvina Crabtree. I put everything I found out about on the back burner to raise my children. We had 5. After my husband Bob died in 1997 I jumped into genealogy to ease my mind and here I am today. Bob was Canadian with grandparents from Hungary, England and the Wales. They all migrated to Canada. I have Hungarian marriage certificate. Of course I couldn't read it. I worked with someone who spoke hungarian and I had it deciphered. So I have all that information. Plus I have pictures of the Hungarian great grand parents. They are beautifully framed with antique frames my husband and I bought for them. My great grandma Phaircelia, wife of Freland Ward, had many different spellings. The first was on 1850 census as Tharsiddy couldn't find her again till 1880 and it was Farcelia. Thought she had died because I couldn't find her after that. About 6 years ago some one sent me an email asking about her....Then I found out she had abandoned her husband and 3 sons and ran off with her brother in law. In 1900 it Frassie and 1910 Rarlilie. She and the brother in law had 10 more children and he had left two children and a wife behind...Oh the things we find out.. It gives me great pleasure when I can help someone out...I was in the position of trying to find things and I was award a vast amount of info. I have a lot of 3 ring binders full of info and pictures that I have collected.... I have many things on my Grandma Mollie Owens Ward's side of the family. I have a picture of her grandfather John Michael VanHuss in his Civil War uniform. It is in water color. Just a few things....
