Married Salina Leeann Green on 22 Apr 1874 Manson, she was b. 06 Nov 1858 Manson, d. 22 Apr 1919, daughter of Newton & Sarah (Fite) Green. Children: Sarah C. Matthews b. abt. 1875 Fentress Co. Easter Catherin Matthews b. 12 Mar1877 d. 29 Apr 1919 Fentress, married Wm. David Jaynes she is buried King Cem. Wm. Thomas Matthews b. 01 Apr 1879 Fentress d. 08 Apr 1950, married Lydia Catherin Cooper buried King Cem. Belle Matthews b. 08 Apr 1881 d. 10 Nov 1903 TN Jasper N. Matthews b. 01 July 1883 married Rosetta King Victoria Matthews  b. 13 July 1885 Manson d. 16 Oct 1972 married David Smith Samuel Wolford Matthews b. 04 Apr 1888 d.
