Erma, I think I've asked you before, but which Richardson's are you looking for? We've made contact with a distant Richardson relative in SC that provided us with several generations back on our Richardson lines to the 1700's. Cathy, Wanted to answer now before things start going again!! You may have written and it got lost when my hard drive crashed and I lost so very much. Had backed most of it up, but of course, lots still has disappeared. My Richardson are: 1. William Richardson "Buckeye Billy", d: 1835, Smyth Co., VA. m: Rebecca Hays, d: 1809-10, Smyth Co., VA. 2. Isaac Richardson b: 1770-80 d: aft. 1840, Franklin Co., IL. m: Nancy Wiley d: abt.. 1840, Franklin Co., IL. 3. Alexander Wiley Richardson b: 1802 d: 1868, Franklin co., IL. m: Sarah E. Gibbs 1824, Knox Co., TN. I am not sure when the movement of my Richardson's started moving westward. Their home was in the Rich Valley, Washington Co., VA. area. From what I have found all 11 children of William & Rebecca were born there. The Co. changed names, but don't think their home moved. I believe that at least 6 of these children lived in Fentress Co. 1. My Isaac & Nancy had at least 7 children I believe. All of them born in VA., but went west with their family. My Alexander married in Knox Co., TN. 2. John H. d: bef. 1849, Fentress Co. Buried in/at Pall Mall, Fentress Co. wife was Abigail Hildreth. Have a note in files that he was Clk of CO. Court 3. Elizabeth d: aft 1850, Fentress Co. Buried in Campbell Cem., Fentress Co. m: Joseph Campbell 4. Jane m: Arthur R. Frogge, went through Fentress Co., d: 1838, IN. 5. Robert H. d: 1864, Fentree Co., (killed by Beaty's men, don't know who this is) m: Margaret Frogge 6. Sarah d: aft. 1850, Fentress Co. m: Strother Frogge 7. Mary T. m: James Stitt, d: IN. 8. Jesse m: Sally McCarty, both believed to have died in IN. My line of Isaac & Nancy I have almost nothing on! They were m: 1973-97, VA. Believe to have had at least 7 kids. Alexander Wiley, dau., nane starts with N., William, 2nd dau., Robert R., male, Isaac b:1811 & married a Mary abt 1834, Wayne Co., KY. Believe they were in TN. abt. 1820-21, - maybe Knox Co.?, by 1826 in Fentress Co, 1830 in Wayne Co., KY. but in Fentress Co., ??. Then in the mid-last 1830s they moved to Franklin Co., IL. They were there in the 1840 census. My Alexander & Sarah m: 1824, Knox Co., 1st son David b: Knox co., 1825, then dau. Nancy b: Fentress Co., 1826., 3 more children b: in either/& Waynbe Co. KY & Fentress Co., TN. by 1829. In 1830, they had moved to Franklin Co. IL. and joined a church there. So a lot of things happened to my family in Fentress Co. in 5 yrs., + or - a yr. or so. Sorry this is so long, but who knows where we may connect, or not. Let me know what you think....
