    1. Sampson Solomon Family
    2. I've done various searches for Sampson and Anna Beaty Solomon and their children on the 1870 Census and haven't been able to find them either. I do know that the following five children of theirs were living in Stoddard County, MO by 1880: - Artemia J. Solomon (b. 4/1850, TN) - Stoddard County, MO: ED# 165, Liberty Township, Page 16, Household 128 (living in the household of her sister Martha, and Martha's husband, James B. Howard) - Ethebert C. Solomon (b. abt. 1853, TN) - Stoddard County, MO: ED# 165, Liberty Township, Page 16, Household 129. Was married to a "Winnie C" (b. abt. 1847, TN) and they had a son named Elias W. Solomon (b. abt. 1875, TN). I have seen the other postings about those wondering if there were connections to the Owens or Bowdens -- "Elias" is a common name in both of those families. - David C. Solomon (b. abt. 1856, TN) - Stoddard County, MO: ED# 165, Liberty Township, Page 8, Household 61. Married to Mary A. ? (b. abt. 1852, MO). They had a son named Samson M. Solomon (b. abt. 1879, MO). - Julia A. Solomon (b. abt. 1861, TN) - Stoddard County, MO: ED# 165, Liberty Township, Page 16, Household 128 (living in the household of her sister Martha, and Martha's husband, James B. Howard - Martha A. Solomon (b. abt. 1864, TN) -- Stoddard County, MO: ED# 165, Liberty Township, Page 16, Household 128. Married to James B. Howard (b. abt. 1858, AL). Also living in their household were Martha's two sisters, Artemia J., and Julia A. Solomon. Ethebert and his wife Winnie are still living in Stoddard County, MO in 1900, and their son Elias is married and living there as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- In a message dated 6/22/2006 6:04:57 PM Eastern Standard Time, TNFENTRE-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: Date: Thu, 22 Jun 2006 12:47:17 -0500 From: "Carletta M. They are on the 1850 and 1860 census in Fentress County. Sampson was a witness to a deed in 1844 in Fentress County so he was there by that time. After 1860, I can't find them anywhere. They had 6 children by 1860. Two of their children were living next door to each other in Missouri on the 1880 census.
