http://www.geocities.com/millyella/fentressco4.html On that web page the first picture is of a church I went to in Rotten's Fork. Behind it is a huge boulder on top of the mountain. I have always known it as Hossey Cliff. As kids the cousins and I thought horses had fallen over the cliff. I found in the History of Fentress County Big book the name NATHANIEL HOSSEY in 1824. I am now assuming the cliff was named after him. Does anyone know??? When I went to the one room school in Rotten's Fork 1949. It is now or was owned by the GILBERT LONG family, our teacher, Miss Pile took us up to the top of Hossey Cliff. It was an awesome view. My cousin WILLARD LEFFEW took a shot gun with him and on the way back laying in the dry creek bed in our way was a rattle snake. Willard shot and killed it. You can see this cliff from Highway 127 going north from Jamestown. Milly WARD Piros My Mind is Like Lightning.... One Brilliant Flash and It's Gone.......
