My father was a Delk and my mother is a Slaven both from Jamestown. Daddy and Mom got married when Dad got out of the Army in 1955 Dad served in the Korean War and met mom when he was on leave when he came home they got married and Dad got a job working at Delco Battery so they moved up here to live most of my aunts and uncles are still living in Jamestown or around Jamestown. It seems everywhere you go here in Muncie, IN there are always somebody from Jamestown or close to it here. Mom and Dad went back a lot to visit with my grandparents on both sides but now they are all gone and my dad died 3 years ago so Mom doesn't go down much anymore. Her brothers and sister still live there and my dad still has 11 brothers and sister living most of whom still live in Jamestown too. I just thought I would share my story too.
