Hi Sarah, Have some information on the Stories, but do not know what part of VA they were in. My fathers side of the family is Story and his line came out of VA also. As of yet have not tied the Joshua Storie and the Thomas Story lines together. Although there was a Thomas Storie in Wilkes Co. NC. There were Guins, Storie, Reagan etc that were in Wilkes Co. before going into Fentress, think all of them went there about the same time. Think I know the Peter you are speaking of, is it the one that was the son of Michael? After talking with you about this a couple of years ago, tried to find some information. And best I can determine is that this Michael was supposed to have come out of Maryland. Have not found any proof of this, talked to a couple of researchers and that is what they thought. Found our Peter Reagan on the 1766 tax list in Bute Co. and then again in 1771, on the list it said Charles and Sons and then named some of the Riggan/Reagan thought possibly that Peter was his son. Asked the gentleman in charge of the archives in Warren Co. court house and he said that if he was on the tax list then he was already 18 yrs old which moved his birth date back to at least 1748. After the 1771 tax list then found him in Rowan Co. on a tax list (which I have misplaced) and signed up for Rev. War in 1774. With him in this area at the time was Thomas Reagan. Believe he was living in Wilkes area but at that time it was Rowan. Jemima Reagan daughter of Charles Reagan in VA think she married George Oliver, but she named one of her sons Peter and think George and Jemima moved into Orange Co. NC which would have been close to Wilkes. The Henry Reagan in Overton Co. was the grandson of this Charles Reagan. An this same Henry was witness to land records for our Reagan family. So our Peter Reagan has lived around the Charles Reagan line and the Daniel Regan line. But still cannot figure out which line he is from or if these 2 lines are connected.
