Ann, Sure is a possibility since Squire Angel of Overton/Fentress was from NC. There were other who came to TN: A John Angel md to Polly Shaver, both in SumnerCo TN. A Martin Angel in 1811 Carter Co., TN. Right now, since there is a possibility that Squire Angel may have went to Ky from NC before migrating on to TN, I am looking at a James Angel from NC who went to Clay Co., KY. He had a son, Absolum b. abt 1796. (Squie Angel had a son Absolum). James had another son, James Jr who had a son Squire Angel b. 1835 Clay Co., KY. I dont have the info. on James other possible children/sons. I wonder if this James from NC had a son Squire Angel, possibly our Squire Angel b.1798/99 NC. Any thoughts/comments? He & his family have remained in the Franklin, Macon Co. area of N.C. His grandmother told me about some of the Angel's going to Tn., but she knew nothing more. She was not into genealogy. Do you think this is a possible connection? Thanks, Ann ==== TNFENTRE Mailing List ==== Please do not write your message with CAPS on.
