Thanks for the help, Pat. Do you have the Storie family traced back into NC and VA? I am still looking for clues for where Peter Reagan came from in the mid-1700s before he turns up in Bute Co, NC. I've been driven to trying to find the source of allied families. The Bowdens come from Isle of Wight, VA. A very large number of Fentress Co names are in that Bute Co, NC, area in the late 1700s. Reading the deed books for Bute, Granville, and Warren Counties is startling. Any clues? Sarah
