Some of you might find this interesting: When I was a child growing up in Jamestown, we would go down Angel Mountain to go fishing. I remember being told this story as a child: A little girl was lost on the mountain and was never found. Sometimes at night people would hear her singing. They told me that is why they called it Angel Mountain! And I believed it! My Grandpa Carl Fowler was a Tall Tale teller!!
It is something how those stories stay with us. There is a place near Sheboygan that is called Silent Point by the locals, a little boy who was mute, slipped from a cliff on his way up to see his granpa who was manning a lighthouse. They say at certain times they can see him running the shores and cliffs still making his way up to the lighthouse. His family continues to man the lighthoue after all these years.
