Thelma, Harmon Bates Smith whom Harmon Smith Lane was named after in Alpine, was b. March 24, 1906 d. June 29, 1989 buried Green Hill, Alpine. Married Velva Cooper, buried Green Hill, Alpine. They had 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls. Neither were ever married before or after spouses death. The house they lived in is the first one on the lane, still there, has been remodeled. The lane makes a loop around, and comes back out. My granpa Milton Smith lived on down the next farm. But I haven't connected the two yet, working on it.
