Crossville Chronicle obit Published August 9, 2005 Bobby R. Smith May 12, 1936 - July 25, 2005 Bobby Ray Smith, 69, of Crossville, passed away July 25, 2005. Funeral services were conducted July 28 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Donald Wattenbarger officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Mr. Smith was born May 12, 1936 in Clarkrange, the son of Avo (Pyles) and Escol Samuel Smith. He was a logger and a member of Pine Eden Baptist Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Willie Lee and Elaine Smith of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Jane Sulzer of Crossville, Rosemary and Bobby Woody of Crossville, Barbara and Charles Blaylock of Crossville, Angela Sue and Larry Hyder of Crossville, Joyce Faye and Lynn Johnson of Little Rock, AR and Margie Louise and Herbert Norris of Crossville; brothers, Escol "Junior" Smith Jr. of Georgia, Frankie Smith of Crossville, Donnie Smith of Crossville and Willard Smith of Illinois; and sisters, Phyllis Parham of Crossville, Nadine Garrett of Cookeville, Brenda Lowhorn of Lebanon and Linda Lowhorn of Lebanon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel (Templeton) Smith; son, Mickey Ray Smith; brothers, Enos Smith and Joe Smith; and sister, Rosie Smith. Pallbearers were Charles Blaylock, Roger Hyder, Johnny Woody, Leon Norris, Dennis Reagan and Jerry Woody. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
