Crossville Chronicle obit Published February 2000 BILLY ROY "BILL" RANDOLPH Billy Roy "Bill" Randolph, 71, of Monterey, passed away Feb. 19, 2000 at the Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Welch Memorial Cemetery. Elder Allen Grindstaff will officiate. Mr. Randolph was born Nov. 9, 1928 in Fentress County, to the late James "Jim" and Ruth Beene Randolph. Mr. Randolph started working as a coal miner at the age of 14. He worked at the Clinchfield Mines in Monterey as a motorman and later as foreman until his retirement. He was a member of the UMWA and the Monterey Masonic Lodge No. 751. Survivors include his wife of over 44 years, Delma Garrison Randolph of Monterey; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Paul Jones of Monterey; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Randy Way, of Monterey; daughter Angie Cloyd, of Monterey; son Billy Roy Randolph Jr. of Monterey; grandchildren, Tabitha Childress, Messena Elliott, Majesta Pierce, Max Jones, Logan and Parker Randolph, Aubree Way, Breeauna Way, Kylie Way, Joshua and Chase Cloyd; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Ariele, Brooklyn and Cole; sister and brother-in-law Dean and Joe Randolph of West Carrollton, OH; sister and brother-in-law Molly and Dale Myers of West Carrollton, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Jimmy Mae and David Brass, of Crossville; brother, Sam Randolph of Castlewood, VA; brothers Jimmy Randolph and Bobby Randolph, both of Crossville; brother and sister-in-law Clay and Debbie Randolph of Cookeville; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen and Beverly Randolph, and two brothers, Cleve and James Walter Randolph. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home today, Feb. 21 from 5 to 9 p.m. Goff Funeral Home of Monterey is in charge of the arrangements.
