Crossville Chronicle obit Published August 5, 2005 Josie A. Human Aug. 2, 2005 Josie Adel (Howard) Human, 83, of Crossville, formerly of Morgan County, passed away Aug. 2, 2005. Graveside services were conducted Aug. 4 in Bethel Cemetery, Deer Lodge, with Bro. Wayne Mathews officiating. Mrs. Human was the daughter of James Ola Howard and Louverna Cox Howard; and the wife of Onie Lee Human Sr. She was the mother of nine children and had 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, four stepdaughters, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Onie Lee and Janie Human Jr. and William Wiley Howard, all of Mossy Grove; daughters and sons-in-law, Freda Sue and George Simec of Rockwood, Betty Jo and Gerald Williams of Crossville, Donna and Roy Cooper of Clarkrange and Cindy and Wendell Atkinson of Crossville; stepdaughters, Doris of Chattanooga and Mazell Tompkins of Deer Lodge; brothers, William (Bill) Howard, John Howard and Jack Howard, all of Crossville; and sister-in-law, Ruby Howard. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Bernice Evelyn, Frankie Marie and Wilma Jean McCartt; brothers, Henry Howard, Jimmy Howard and Bobby Howard; sisters, Shirly Lark and Betty Adams; and stepdaughters, Ruby Brown and Ruth Taylor. Schubert Funeral Home of Wartburg was in charge of the arrangements.
