Crossville Chronicle obit Published August 24, 2005 Bernice Wilson March 8, 1920 - Aug. 23, 2005 Bernice Wilson, 85, of Monterey, passed away Aug. 23, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home of Monterey. The Rev. Billy Parkerson will officiate and interment will follow in the Martha Washington Cemetery in Clarkrange. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Wilson was born March 8, 1920 in Fentress County, the daughter of Gipson Henry and Elizabeth Key Norris. She was a retired nurse's aid with Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center in Monterey. She also attended the Monterey Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include her sons, Paul Wilson of Cookeville, Bob Wilson of Chattanooga, Bill Wilson of Monterey, Bernard Wilson of Bradton, FL and Larry Wilson of Monterey; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Ashburn of Clarkrange, Irene Dearmond of Crossville and Margie Brown of Rinnie; and brothers, Thomas Norris of Texas, Johnny Norris of Ashland, OH and Jimmy Norris of Nashville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clure Wilson, who passed away Nov. 28, 1994; two grandsons, Gary and Darrell Wilson; brother, Olen Wilson; and an infant sister and infant brother. Goff Funeral Home of Monterey is in charge of the arrangements.
