Hi Frank, Elizabeth Young Choate, b. 1801; according the 1850 Fentress County census, born in VA. I have never been able to determine anything on the Elizabeth's Young family. 1850 Fentress County census, District No. 4: Page 786, Dwelling no. 231, Austin Choat, 55, VA Elizabeth, 49, VA Jacob, 24, TN Sally, 18, TN Ann, 15, TN Celia, 13, TN John, 10, TN Christopher, 8, TN Denna, 4, TN Page 786, Dwelling no. 232, Adkison, Jas, 20, TN Nancy, 22, TN Mary, 1/12, TN Page 786, Dwelling no. 233, Geo Choat, 29, TN, Farmer and can not read or write Linda, 25, TN Malissa, 6,TN Lusy, 4, TN Jas., 2, TN Jacob, 1, TN If you will note, that my g. grandmother, Nancy, lives between her parents and her brother, George. The daughter, Mary, was named Mary E. The E. we believe could have been named after her grandmother Elizabeth Young Choate or her g. grandmother, Elizabeth Atkinson, b. 1764. Hope this will answer your question on the 1850 Fentress County Census and of George Choate. This census came from the micro-fishe roll which I have a copy. I have not attempted to do a complete Choate family research other than my line as other have done so, including my cousin, Bev Casey and Irene Choate Williams.
