    3. Sonja, Currently, I am trying to locate Thomas Huckaby in 1820 census, father of George Huckaby b. abt 1804/07 NC/TN. I do not loacate Thomas in either Overton or Fentress Co. Thomas was in either NC or TN in 1820 along with son, George. Both Thomas and George show up in Fentress Co in 1830 census, George with three children b. bet 1820-1830. George must have been married abt 1825 to Rebecca LNU. b 1806 NC. She reports both her parent b in NC as well. In studing the Overton/Fentress Co. census', Rebecca may be the d/o Robert Storie and Ruth Lewis both b. NC. 1820 Overton, Robert has 2 daughters b. bet 1804-1810. These two daughters are yet to be identified. 1830 Robert shows up in Fentress Co. I am trying to fnd out if both Robert Storie and George Huckaby lived in close proximity to each other. If anyone has this info of where both George and Robert lived in Fentress Co in 1830, would be very helpful. I am not sure how they are all connected but Nancy Roach married a Huckaby. I don't know which one. I found Nancy Roach, on a census, living with George Huckaby. My computer crashed after this and I lost the data. I can't remember the ages but as he was a lot older I thought she may have been a daughter-in-law. I wondered if her husband may have gotten killed in the war or something. She had the two small girls. Nancy Roach Huckaby had two daughters. Their names were Lynda and Rebecca Jane Huckaby. Rebecca Jane (Jane) married Joseph Blake. Jane and Joe had Amanda, Mary Elizabeth, Shade, Ink. There is a couple more. Nancy Roach Huckaby later married John Alcorn. They had a son named Jesse. I don't know what happened to him after Nancy died but he was very young when she died. Joseph Blake was killed in the log woods. After that, Jane went to Monticello, KY to live with son Ink. She died in Monticello July 22, 1924. Jane was buried in The Morris Cemetery 9-25-1924. Her daughter Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Blake Stewart also died in 1924. Mary Elizabeth married John Lewis Stewart and she is buried at The Wolf River Cemetery in Fentress County. Rebecca Jane (Jane) was born in East Tennessee. If you connect these people, would you please let me know. 3. James, I am a Huckaby descendant and have read your emails with great interest. Although I don't have much information my gr. gr. grandmother Lynda Huckaby was in Concord TN in the late 1800's. This branch of Huckaby's evidently came from N. Carolina tho I haven't found proof of that. Linda(Lynda) Huckaby was born in Jan. 1 1860 and died in Jacksboro TN. She married Samuel Ipock ( they lived in Fentress)You may be wondering what this has to do with your query but I thought it might give you a couple more places to search.......you just never know. I will continue to to read the postings with interest.
