I am also interested in this Huckaby family. I am not sure how they are all connected but Nancy Roach married a Huckaby. I don't know which one. I found Nancy Roach, on a census, living with George Huckaby. My computer crashed after this and I lost the data. I can't remember the ages but as he was a lot older I thought she may have been a daughter-in-law. I wondered if her husband may have gotten killed in the war or something. She had the two small girls. Nancy Roach Huckaby had two daughters. Their names were Lynda and Rebecca Jane Huckaby. Rebecca Jane (Jane) married Joseph Blake. Jane and Joe had Amanda, Mary Elizabeth, Shade, Ink. There is a couple more. Nancy Roach Huckaby later married John Alcorn. They had a son named Jesse. I don't know what happened to him after Nancy died but he was very young when she died. Joseph Blake was killed in the log woods. After that, Jane went to Monticello, KY to live with son Ink. She died in Monticello July 22, 1924. Jane was buried in The Morris Cemetery 9-25-1924. Her daughter Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Blake Stewart also died in 1924. Mary Elizabeth married John Lewis Stewart and she is buried at The Wolf River Cemetery in Fentress County. Rebecca Jane (Jane) was born in East Tennessee. If you connect these people, would you please let me know.
