The Fentress County Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of history and family geneology in Fentress County, TN. A newsletter is produced once each quarter in order to provide historical and geneological information and to be a forum for communication with those who desire to learn more about county history, and about genology and family information. A monthly meeting is held in the Fentress County Library each fourth Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The Society is having a membership drive during the week of September 11-16 as a means of letting people know about the goals and purposes of the Historical Society, and to invite interested persons to share in those goals and purposes. Society members will be in the Fentress County Library Conference Room on Saturday, September 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to talk with anyone about membership in the Society.
