Lucian M. (Luke) Taubert was the son of Curt Richard Taubert (b. January 08, 1883, d. July 03, 1962) and Ella Mae Hull (b. April 15, 1888, d. March 17, 1944), both buried at Fellowship Cemetery, Fentress County, TN. I do not know who the parents of his wife (Stella Bilbrey - b. February 21, 1917, d. January 1986) were. Brenda ----------------------------------------------------------------- MUNCIE - Lucian "Luke" Taubert, 91, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning September 18, 2006, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born August 26, 1915, in Shirley, TN where he attended schools. He moved to Muncie in the late 1940's. Mr. Taubert was the general manager of the filling station at the corner of Franklin and Washington Streets for Shiedler Oil until his retirement in 1980. Luke was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Nascar. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanette Faulkner (husband-Jack), Yorktown and Carol Hirons (husband-Mike), Muncie; his son, Rudy Taubert (wife-Nancy), Victorville, CA; a son-in-law, Jack Main, Muncie; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Ray Bilbrey (wife-Eloise), Muncie; eight brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella (Bilbrey) Taubert in 1986; a daughter, Sue Main in 2005; a granddaughter, Karen Main in 2005; a grandson, David Faulkner in 1978; and four brothers and sisters. Services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 22, 2006, with Dr. Dennis Hammons officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
