    3. If I may add to this. The Lowell Whittenburg mentioned was the son of Homer Whittenburg and Bonnie Amonett.Bonnie Amonett was Homer`s first wife ,the daughter of James Amonett and Elzett Garrett, Bonnie died,Homer then married Dora Gunter, the daughter of John Gunter and Lou Campbell.Dora died and Homer married Dora`s cousin Nannie Gunter, the daughter of Hiram Gunter and Fanny Cook.Hiram and John Gunter were brothers.Lowell was a cousin Tonya Smith Maddux.(Lowell`s mother was a sister to her Ggrandmother,Viola Bertie Amonett Winningham. Lowell Whittenburg was born 3-16-1925 and died 8-5-2002 in Putman County Tennessee.Lowell`s mother died 10-28-1925,I thought from child birth, but her death certificate said Typhoid fever.Gearlie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Willie R Beaty" <wbeaty@twlakes.net> To: <TNFENTRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 11, 2006 7:17 PM Subject: Re: [TNFENTRE] [TNFENTRE-L] Whittenburg Obituaries >I knew the Whittenburg family when I was growing up.
