The Rock Creek area is in the northeastern part of the county. I'm not sure where the community was, but Rock Creek heads up just north and east of the Pickett State Park, and runs in a northeasterly direction into KY. There was a logging rail road into the Rock Creek area that closed down in the thirties or early forties. Rock Creek is now part of the Pickett State Park and the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. There is no active community there, but there are trails leading down to the Rock Creek. If this is the place you're looking for, I can give you directions to access the trails. Hope this helps.
