The Courier Times, New Castle, Indiana, August 2, 1999 LOMA H. SOLOMAN, 87, of New Castle died Saturday (July 31) in her residence following a brief illness. She was a New Castle resident most of her life. She was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Jamestown, Tennessee, a daughter of LEWIS and MANDY JANE FLOWERS DELK. She is survived by her husband, JIM; a sister, GLADYS WALKER of Jamestown, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews including HAROLD (wife: MARSHA SCOTT of New Castle, whom she raised and STEVE WALKER of Jamestown, Tenn.; cousins; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, ETHEL DELK, BETHEL UPCHURCH and HESTER WILLIAMS; five brothers, CASTO DELK, OAKLEY DELK, CHARLIE DELK, RASTUS DELK and CLAYTON DELK. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Macer-Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. KENNETH YORK officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.
