William J. Lawson, 66 PARKER CITY - William J. Lawson, 66, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, March 23, 2006, at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jamestown, TN, the son of Mack and Elsie (Adams) Lawson. He then served in the US Navy and moved to Muncie in the 1960's. Mr. Lawson was a master mechanic for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2001. Mr. Lawson was a member of Avondale Sympathy Club and the Teamsters Union. Surviving are two daughters, Rebekah Lawson, Muncie and Carmen Phillips, Mobile, AL; four sons, Marty Lawson, Muncie, Mack Lawson, Topeka, KS, Keith Brown, Muncie, and Tony Brown, Elkhart; seven grandchildren, Krista, Matthew, Jacob, Shane, and Tiffany Brown, Adam Lawson, and Billy Phillips; two sisters, Mae Howard, Jamestown, TN and Goldie Wright, Alardt, TN; his brother, Arthur Lawson, Belleview, OH; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margy (Green) Lawson in 1994; his daughter, Lavenna Lawson; and two brothers, Arville and Coy Lawson. Services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. His first wife was Donna Jean Trevino and his second wife was Margy Green. Margy was the mother of Rebekah Lawson. The Keith and Tony Brown listed in the obituary are actually stepchildren. The other children listed are his children with Donna Trevino. Also inadvertently left out of the obituary are two deceased sisters, Elsie Lawson and Zola Lawson Upchurch. Brenda
