Crossville Chronicle obit Published March 8, 2006 Mima L. Brendel Aug. 21, 1940 - March 2, 2006 Mima Louise Brendel, 65, of Crossville, passed away March 2, 2006. Funeral services were conducted March 5 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with Bro. Richard Rollins officiating. Burial was in Pomona Cemetery. Special music was provided by Oma Lee Denny. Mrs. Brendel was born Aug. 21, 1940 in Fentress County, the daughter of Willie and Opal Neal Miller. She was a homemaker and attended Crossville First Freewill Baptist Church. She loved doing crafts and working with her flower gardens. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Kimberly Brendel of Crossville; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Myrna Miller of Rockwood; grandson, Nickolas Brendel; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Gene Brendel. Pallbearers were Charles Brendel, Bob Brendale, Clyde Brendel, Josh Brendel, Don Fisher and Paul Miller.
