To the List: I just received today copies of 2 Marriage Bonds. One for Lee SCOTT & Eva BURKS (BURKE?). The date is September 3, 1927. Both are listed as over 18 years. Bondsman seems to be Rosco BULLARD. Married by Johnny MILLER: MG. The other is for Luther BUCK & Sarah SCOTT. Dated January 16, 1925. The age is not noted on the marriage oath. The bondsman here is C.S. BUCK. The marriage was performed by James P. DUNCAN, Rev. Does anyone have any information on these two marriages? I have gone through the Fentress County Cemetery Book by Mable WHEELER, and found nothing on any page referring to these four people. I checked the Census for 1920 and 1930, to see if I could connect them to the families. Not yet. I do have many SCOTTs and BUCKs listed in my files, but no BURKS / BURKEs.
