Helen, If you look for Cecil Voiles on Bruce York's information one of his children is shown with children and living. That is Cecil's daughter, Sandra, she married my cousin, Keith Tompkins. I think somewhere within the Tompkins family there is another connection to the Voiles by marriage. My aunt, Elizabeth (Scales) Tompkins married Everett Tompkins. Her grandfather and my great grandfather was Samuel Alexander Tompkins. Yes, the two Tompkins families are related. They both go back to Joseph Tompkins, Overton County, he is one of the lines in the First Families of Tennessee. Joseph Tompkins has some interesting lore connected to him and an Indian Chief named Tecumseh. That is one story I wish I could pen down. I find surrounding events in our ancestors lives very fascinating. I get bogged down in trying to trace rumors and family lore. But I don't want just the bare bones.
