    3. Spurrier was located ,at or near ,where Eastport is now located. I do not think it was ever a town, just a postoffice. It is now covered by Dale Hollow lake in Pickett County ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill and Patty" <ktfsandj@tznet.com> To: <TNFENTRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 23, 2006 8:29 PM Subject: [TNFENTRE-L] Question of a Town > > Could someone tell me if the town Spurrier in Pickett County had it's name > changed and how to get to it. 3. Thank you Gearlie, no wonder I couldn't find it. I wonder how the families would feel to come back and not be able to find home. I hope my Alpine will always be there. Another question, do you know if there is a book out for the Pryor or Beaty families? I sent for Pickett County and Dale Hollow books today. 3. I do not know about the books. You probably noticed the information on the Fentress County website by Bruce York.Bruce has quite a bit of information about the Pryor's.The Fentress County Library also some information.Your Alpine is still there.I think that some of the area that was served by Spurrier is now served by Alpine.Gearlie Byrd ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill and Patty" <ktfsandj@tznet.com> To: <TNFENTRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 24, 2006 6:24 AM Subject: Re: [TNFENTRE-L] Question of a Town > Thank you Gearlie, no wonder I couldn't find it. > > I wonder how the families would feel to come back and not be able to find > home.
