Quentin F. Beaty, 83 MUNCIE - Quentin F. Beaty, 83, Muncie, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 14, 1922 to Tollie H. and Ina Jane (Wright) Beaty in Boatland, TN. He was an electrician for IBEW after 35 years before he retired in 1984. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the V.F.W., U.S.S. Missouri Association, the People's Sympathy Club, IBEW Local # 855, the IBEW Retirees, and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth "June" Beaty, Muncie; 7 children, Linda Beaty, Houston, TX, Carol Beaty, Muncie, Nancy Zearbaugh, Muncie, Timothy Beaty, Muncie, Christopher Beaty (wife, Cynthia), Huntsville, OH, Julie Johnson (husband, Brian), Gaston, and John Beaty, Muncie; 4 brothers, Boyd Beaty (wife, Estelle), Muncie, Warren Beaty (wife, Connie), Hamilton, OH, Dale Beaty (wife, Lee), Farmland, and Rodger Beaty (wife, Pansy), Selma; 2 sisters, Lois Nicholson, Jamestown, TN and Ella Taylor (husband, Pete), Jamestown, TN; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tollie H. and Ina Jane Beaty; brother, Charles C. Beaty; sisters, Alyne Huff, Evelyn Beaty, and Martha Manis; and son, Thomas M. Beaty. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Parson Mortuary, 801 W. Adams St., where there will be a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. A Mass of Christina burial will be held on Wednesday, May 10th, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Dennis Goth officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
