    3. Hello List, I will be travelling in Eastern Tennessee in a few weeks, and I am trying to find the gravesite of my g-g-grandfather, Robert Miller, b. 1825, d. 1862. I am told he died of cholera during the Civil War but have not been able to confirm that. He was married to Susan Couch, who remarried after his death, to Squire Young. Robert and Susan Miller had three chldren: Carlee Jane, Theophilus B, and Douglas. My line goes through Douglas who I would also like to find one of these days. Apparently the family spent time in Fentress and in White counties. Phyllis K. Miller elmozap@obclc.com

    3. I have a couple of Robert Millers in my line. Both were from around the Oveton/Fentress/Cumberland Co lines. One is the son of Hiram and Sarah Miller Robert Miller b. 12 Nov. 1830 d. ?? He is buried in the Campground/Mt. Union Baptist Church Cemeterey....somewhere in a bunch of unmarked graves. He married Mary D. "Pode" Smith b. 27 Feb. 1831 d. 7 April 1914 She is buried in the Wilson Cemetery near Lovejoy/Cliffsprings. My grandmother told me that they buried her there near twin granddaughters because it was too muddy to transport her body to Campground. Their son Robert Miller Jr. b. 8 Nov. 1868 d. 8 April 1948 is also buried in the Wilson Cemetery. He married Liza Jane Phipps b. 15 July 1887 d. 24 June 1946 she is also buried in the Wilson Cemetery. Robert Miller Jr. had a first cousin also named Robert Miller who married one of Liza Jane Phipps' sister, Taulty Elizabeth. So Ben and Martha Phipps, their parents, had two Robert Millers that were their son in laws.
