    2. Fabian, the parents of Vertie Delk were Otha Delk, Sr. (b. September 23, 1894, d. June 14, 1961, buried at Franklin Cemetery, Poplar Cove, Fentress County, TN on 6/16/1961) and Ada Pearl Bowden (b. May 15, 1900, d. May 15, 1985, also buried at Franklin Cemetery). Janice M. Stanford Delk's parents are both buried at Government Cemetery, Pickett County, TN. Janice's sister, Donna, married Everett N. Delk (b. February 17, 1933, d. November 13, 1982, buried at Franklin Cemetery, Poplar Cove, Fentress County, TN). Everett was a brother of Vertie Delk. Delk Does anyone know who Janice's husband, Vertie Delk's, parents are/were? Thanx, Fabian Obit: Janice M. Delk Canton - Janice M. Delk, age 66, of Canton, formerly of Bellevue, passed away at 9:38 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, at her home. Born May 10, 1940, in Byrdstown, Tenn., to Hubert H. and Lillie K. (Clark) Stanford. She married Vertie Delk on July 19, 1958, in Jamestown, Tenn. He survives, along with two daughters, Janet Delk (Jack Aylward) of Peoria and Jada (Brad) Mosburg of Peoria; two grandchildren, Billy and Jena Mosburg of Peoria; and one sister, Donna Delk of Bellevue. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bobby and John Stanford. During the early 1980s, Janice worked at the Pizza Palace in Peoria and then later was assistant manager at Hunt's Family Restaurant until 1994. She was a member of the Canton Church of Christ. Jan also loved to work in her garden, go fishing and spend time with her family. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 15, 2006, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
